Kaltura REACH Product Specifications and Limitations

  1. Turnaround time and quality levels are dependent on input of clean, good quality audio, free of excessive background noise.
  2. Some REACH features may not be available in non-English (spoken) languages.
  3. Some Kaltura REACH services utilize third party vendors. To learn more about the specific services you are using, please contact your Kaltura representative or email us at legal@kaltura.com.
  4. “Best Effort” and “Immediate” turnaround times for any REACH feature will defer between different vendors. In any event, “Best efforts” turnaround times will usually be returned within seven to 30 calendar days, depending on aggregate demand at the time the content is submitted for processing.
  5. Any batch submission of over 1,000 media minutes per day may be subject to a processing delay and turnaround time limitations unless coordinated in advance with Kaltura.
  6. Human services. Human transcription service combines the efficiency of cutting-edge Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) with the expertise of human transcriptionists. The process starts with machine-generated transcriptions for speed and scalability, but every file is then meticulously reviewed, edited, and enhanced by skilled human teams to ensure accuracy, nuance, and contextual relevance.
  7. Processing. REACH service processing can be performed in different regions based on vendor capabilities. Each vendor supports specific processing regions, which may vary depending on the selected service features. All REACH vendors are required to comply with strict content deletion policies. In cases where they cannot support multiple content retention durations, vendors ensure compliance by deleting content immediately after processing

  9. Kaltura may update this page from time to time to reflect the addition of new transcription services and modifications to existing services.
