About the Role
We are looking for a business-oriented Director of Procurement to lead Kaltura’s global procurement function. This role combines strategic ownership with strong hands-on execution capabilities, including active involvement in sourcing, negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives, while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, HR, Product, Sales and business stakeholders.
The role is responsible for driving disciplined spend management, measurable cost savings, and efficient, scalable procurement operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a lean procurement team, balancing hands-on execution with team development
- Define clear ownership across the team and ensure effective support of business units
Vendor Management
- Manage the full vendor lifecycle: selection, onboarding, performance evaluation (SLAs), and renewals
- Build strong supplier relationships while ensuring competitive pricing and service quality
- Identify vendor consolidation and optimization opportunities
Hands-on Procurement Execution
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes: sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management
- Personally drive complex and high-impact negotiations with key vendors
- Maintain strong involvement in day-to-day procurement activities as needed
Spend Management & Cost Optimization
- Own and track procurement savings, providing structured and data-driven analysis of cost reduction initiatives
- Build and present regular reporting on savings, vendor performance, and spend trends
- Ensure alignment between procurement activities and company budget in close partnership with Finance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, HR, Product, Sales and business stakeholders across the organization
- Support strategic initiatives requiring procurement leadership (e.g., vendor transitions, global sourcing decisions, large-scale projects)
Systems & Process Ownership
- Drive improvements in procurement processes, tools, and data visibility
- Take an active role in ERP implementation and procurement-related workflows
- Ensure structured, compliant, and efficient procurement practices across the organization
Requirements
- 8–12 years of procurement experience, including experience leading a team
- Strong hands-on experience in sourcing, negotiations, and vendor management
- Proven ability to analyse and present cost savings and procurement insights (advanced Excel skills required)
- Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint) with ability to communicate clearly to senior stakeholders
- Experience working with ERP systems; involvement in ERP implementation – strong advantage
- Experience in a global, publicly traded high-tech company – strong advantage
- Strong business partnering skills and ability to work cross-functionally
