Management:
Ron Yekutiel, Chairman, CEO & Co-founder
Work: Ron is a serial technology entrepreneur starting companies in Israel, US, and Canada in the fields of Internet, mobile applications, and security.
Fun: A former helicopter pilot, Ron loves traveling to authentic locations (Papua New Guinea and the Amazon are his favorites) and being breathless – shark feeding scuba diving, parachuting, bungee jumping etc…
More: Ron holds an MBA with honors from the Wharton School of Business majoring both in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.
Dr. Shay David, VP Business & Community Development, Co-founder
Work: Shay brings many years of experience in technology ventures, starting companies and helping large enterprises turn ideas into working products. Previous projects included MindEcho, Destinator and consulting with companies like Toyota.
Fun: Shay's Ph.D. dissertation at Cornell University focused like many of his other articles on collaborative systems, participatory information networks, and the reputation economy. Shay loves to travel around the world and meet people that are helping bring the open-source revolution to various parts of the economy.
More: Shay is also a fellow at Yale Law School's Information Society Project where he contributes to the global Access to Knowledge movement.
Dr. Michal Tsur, President & Co-founder
Work: Michal is an experienced entrepreneur with many years of knowledge of technology startup work. Michal co-founded Cyota and was part of its management team from its inception up until its acquisition by RSA Security, Inc (NASDAQ: RSAS) for $145M (US) in 2005 (RSA was subsequently acquired by EMC Inc (NYSE: EMC)).
Fun: Michal was a competitive swimmer, and tri-athlete, she loves hiking and is the mom of Yonatan and Yulie.
More: Michal holds a doctoral degree in application of game theoretic models to law from New York University, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Yale Law School's Information Society Project where her research focused on Open Source, Memetics, and evolutionary game-theory. Michal also clerked at the supreme court of Israel.
Eran Etam, CTO & Co-founder
Work: Eran was a co-founder and the VP R&D of ICQ, the world's first Instant Messenger, which was acquired by AOL for $407M in 1998. After holding a VP position in AOL, Eran started several other Internet startups before co-founding Kaltura on September of 2006.
Fun: Eran spends most of his spare time with his wife and four kids. He is addicted to Skittles and Toggi Wafers, and he loves watching movies and programming.
Ainatte Inbal, Head of Product
Work: Ainatte is in charge of product at Kaltura. For over a decade, she has intravenously fed herself with all things Net related, starting out in the mid Nineties as the coordinator of a distance learning program; Other benchmarks include: an R&D strategic group at AOL, producing art projects at the wonderful, now defunct, adaweb; graduate studies at NYU's ITP; head of Interaction Design in the local IDEO office; independent user experience consultant to startups during their concept phase.
Fun: Ainatte has been teaching user experience design for the past 7 years in the hope that the next generation of designers will treat our friend the user with kindness and compassion.
Naama Halevi, CFO
Work: Naama is a seasoned executive with over 12 years of experience in financial management and entrepreneurial activities. Prior positions include VP Finance at Traiana and Senior Auditor at PwC Israel.
Fun: Naama loves traveling, hiking, practicing Pilates with her husband and spending time with her three kids.
More: Naama holds an MBA cum laude from the Leon Recannati Graduate School of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University. She has taught numerous courses at the Faculty of Management at the Tel Aviv University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Israel).
Yuval Shemesh, Vice President Research & Development
Work: In the past 12 years, Yuval has established and led numerous R&D departments in both Internet startups and larger high tech companies, managing teams of 10 to 100 members.
Fun: Yuval is a tri-athlete, would like to make it to the Iron Man competition. In the meantime he enjoys taking his 2 years old daughter on bike trips.
Matt Roberson, Senior Director of Sales
Work: Matt comes from a diverse background of CDN, Video Platforms, Telecommunications, and Wireless technology. Matt has spent the last 13 yrs in high end sales and leadership roles in some of the top Video and Telecom companies out there today.
Fun: Matt is a “DIE-HARD” USC football fan, Lakers fan, and gym rat. Matt loves fast energy, fast paced sports and is always up for a good comedy movie.
More: Most importantly, Matt has three true loves in his life; Robyn his wife and Brayden and Gianna his son and daughter.
Linda Drabik, Sr. Director of Business Development
Work: Linda has over ten years of experience spanning technology start-ups, joint ventures, and large enterprises. She developed her background in digital strategies and enabling web technologies through consulting, business development, interactive marketing, and operations roles in the Bay Area and New York.
Fun: Weaving through runners and bikers in Central Park and trailing jellyfish near Coney Island, Linda recently completed her first triathlon season and is aiming for a half-ironman next season. She enjoys adventure travel to explore faraway cities and experience the great outdoors.
More: Linda earned her Bachelor of Science at Cornell University and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
Leah Belsky, Director of Strategic Accounts & Assoc. General Counsel
Work: Leah is an experienced entrepreneur, executive, & internet strategist. Prior to Kaltura she worked at the World Bank and in China as the VP of Strategy and Product Dev. at Noank Media, a spin-off of the Berkman Center at Harvard.
Fun: Leah is a former filmmaker and loves spending time with friends who are similarly focused on technology & social change. She also spends many a late night considering the next great leap for the Kaltura platform and community.
More: Leah completed her JD at Yale Law School and BA at Brown University. She is currently a fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School where she studies online collaboration, technology policy, and is one of the leaders of the Open Video Alliance.

David V. Picker
David Picker is a third generation motion picture executive and producer. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1953.
He joined United Artists Corporation in January 1956, managed a series of businesses including Production and Marketing, United Artists Music Publishing and held the Presidency of United Artists Records.
He was named President and Chief Operating Officer of United Artists Corporation in 1969 and Chief Executive Officer in 1970. He was responsible for bringing to the company films such as TOM JONES, the JAMES BOND series, the WOODY ALLEN movies, The Beatles' HARD DAY'S NIGHT and HELP, MIDNIGHT COWBOY, LAST TANGO IN PARIS and many other films.
Mr. Picker is a member of the Writer's Guild of America East, The Producers Guild of America and is Chairman of the Producers Guild of America East. He has served on many boards and committees, including The American Film Institute, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Board of Overseers of The Hopkins Center of the Performing Arts and The Hood Museum of Dartmouth College, among others.
Matt Asay
Matt Asay has been involved with open source since 1998, and is one of the industry’s leading open source business strategists. Asay currently manages global business development activities for Alfresco, the open source leader in Enterprise Content Management. Prior to Alfresco, Asay was an early member of Novell’s Linux Business Office. In 2003 Asay founded the Open Source Business Conference, the industry’s premier open source strategy event, and has served as an Entreprenuer-in-Residence for Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, focusing on open source investment opportunities. Before Novell, Asay was General Manager at Lineo, an embedded Linux software startup. Asay earned his Juris Doctorate degree at Stanford Law School, spending two of his three years studying open-source software licensing and innovation under Professor Larry Lessig. Maria Cirino
Maria is co-founder and Managing Director of .406 Ventures, with 23 years of entrepreneurial, operating and senior management sales and marketing experience in venture-backed technology companies. Prior to founding .406, she was Senior Vice President of VeriSign, following its 2005 $144 million acquisition of Guardent – a company Maria co-founded and led as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Mark Rosenthal
Mark is a top media executive, having previously served as Chairman and CEO of Interpublic Media, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of MTV Networks. Mark currently serves as a Director of CNET Networks and of Current TV.
Lior Raz
Lior brings extensive guerilla marketing, creative and production experience to Kaltura. Over the past few years, Lior founded and managed a leading guerilla marketing firm focusing on non-conventional marketing techniques. Lior is an expert in viral advertising, and cellular content, he has also produced and directed many TV advertisements. Lior recently produced the two largest Internet commercial contests in Israel ("The funniest laughter" video contest on behalf of Nokia, and the "coolest hair shave" online photo contest on behalf of Phillips). Lior is a TV, film and theatre actor, and has studied at the Nisan Nativ Acting School in Jerusalem.
Rich Levandov
Rich is a member of the Avalon Ventures team. Rich has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, operating executive, and venture capitalist involving a variety of cutting edge early stage technology companies. Prior to joining Avalon in 2007 to establish the Firm's East Coast investing activities he has been involved in many entrepreneurial and venture capital endeavors.
