Project Management

Technical Project Manager / New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate sales-to-projects hand-off, ensuring that the delivery team understands expectations and nuances communicated during the sales process.
  • Lead or facilitate a pre-project requirements gathering and scope definition with project stakeholders.
  • Assemble, assign and direct project team and develop schedule to ensure timely completion of project and set expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members.
  • Employ established PMO guidelines to ensure project documentation is properly written, reviewed, updated, and archived at project close.  Assist in writing business requirements, functional specifications, design documentation, test scripts, etc., as needed.
  • Lead and supervise work of project team members (who are not direct reports); collaborate with Kaltura functional managers on resource allocation and management of staff assigned to projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, client stakeholders and peers.
  • Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.
  • Proactively anticipate and identify project risks and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate risk events in order to minimize the impact to the project.
  • Identify and escalate issues that may impede project timelines, costs, and/or quality; articulate trade-offs in response to shifting requirements; and manage subsequent changes.
  • Measure performance to ensure projects are progressing according to approved plans and will meet established targets.
  • Continuously enhance project management capabilities through commitment to professional development.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of information gathering and meeting facilitation techniques, methods, and procedures.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally - domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s / advance degree in Computer Science, Technology, Media, or Information Systems preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.  Agile development projects experience preferred.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and oral, are required, additional languages a plus
  • High level of computer literacy and technical orientation is necessary, Salesforce.com and MS Project experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, is required.
  • Background in web publishing and development, HTML, PHP, CMSs (Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle etc), a major advantage. Knowledge and experience with web-based video delivery, infrastructure, streaming, transcoding and optimization an asset.

Director of Business Development/ San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

The Role

We are searching for an exceptional Director of Business Development to lead our expansion efforts into key partnerships, OEM relationships, and channels. We are looking for people who are passionate about online media and can take a leadership role engaging business leaders in the online video and cloud services ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record executing deals and meeting and exceeding revenue goals.  You must be highly motivated, creative, extremely organized, and possess outstanding communication, strategic thinking, and negotiating skills. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and own a business development pipeline, identify key targets with Kaltura management team, and create new opportunities
  • Achieve business development and revenue goals each quarter
  • Execute new reseller and OEM relationships and develop strategies with BD team members for ongoing management of channels
  • Define account development plans with clear prioritization, steps, and measurement of deal status
  • Develop relationships with C-level, VP, and Director-level executives across companies and across industry verticals
  • Mobilize internal Kaltura marketing, solution engineering, and product teams as needed for key presentations and proof of concept developments
  • Grow revenue via increasing penetration of Kaltura technology across verticals
  • Work closely with the client services and product teams to share learning across key customer accounts
  • Represent Kaltura at industry related trade shows and key C-level meetings
  • Travel when necessary to meet potential customers and prospects - must be willing to be on the road often

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business Management, Technology or related field. 7+ years in sales/business development/strategy/corporate development, ideally from a leading software or enterprise platform sales company
  • Ability to analyze corporate strategy of key prospects and position Kaltura products and technologies to C-level executives
  • Proven track record of successfully closing high-ticket deals and meeting revenue goals
  • Ability to prospect and open new opportunities, manage strategic accounts, and create ongoing account development plans
  • Understanding of Software as a Service and commercial licensing models
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative in terms of deal structure and framework
  • Ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs

About the Testing Team

The Testing (Quality Assurance – QA) team leads, designs and develops Kaltura’s quality tools and processes. The team monitors the entire Kaltura development environment, which includes both back-end and front-end applications, and monitors development of all professional services for Kaltura's customers. The Testing team has a robust testing methodology that includes Software Test Plans (STPs), Software Test Designs (STDs) per request and Software Test Reports (STRs) per each testing cycle. The Testing team also develops automated tests.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Kaltura is seeking an experienced, ambitious, and strategic enterprise software sales professional who will lead the Enterprise vertical through its next phase of growth.  As Managing Director, you will be responsible for the Enterprise P&L.  You will manage a team that includes sales and sales engineering, with dotted line to account management,  marketing, channel, and business development professionals.  You will provide direct input on product strategy and work directly with the executive team to define and implement the go-to-market strategy.  You will also work with the Channel Management Team to serve and grow Kaltura's network of global resellers and lead partnerships with the top technology companies and system integrators around the world.  Candidates must demonstrate passion, energy, and domain expertise in video, and proven success in leading sales organizations.


Responsibilities:

•       Drive the annual go-to-market strategy for Enterprise
•       Meet and exceed annual revenue and business development goals for the vertical
•       Lead and manage the sales and business development professionals on your team and enable them to close deals.
•       Identify and close key strategic partnerships and lead existing partnerships with key technology companies, partners, and system integrators.
•       Provide strategic input and guidance to the product and marketing teams.

Requirements and Preferences:

Education Sales Executive/ East cost/ Mid-Atlantic Region

Description
As part of a dedicated Education Sales Team, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new opportunities. You will work with educational institutions to understand their video needs, consulting regularly with Kaltura product managers and presales engineers. You will be introducing the first video extensions for Blackboard, Sakai, and Moodle to the market and guide institutional stakeholders in making media investments. You will maintain C-level client relationships with stakeholders who are key to the decision-making and closing process. Sales will be conducted by email, phone, Webex, and in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Strategically identify, target, and close new Kaltura education accounts.
• Manage a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 3-9 month sales cycle.
• Introduce clients to the complexities of video delivery, clearly articulating Kaltura’s value proposition and the uniqueness of our video applications.
• Lead online and face to face presentations of Kaltura’s platform and education solutions.
• Effectively engage internal product, presales, business, and partner team members.
• Document proposed products in template proposals and deliver pricing for professional services engagements.
• Provide active feedback to the Kaltura product team to assist in refining our solution set.
• Attend trade-shows, actively engaging attendees and initiating conversations with qualified prospects.
• Maintain active and professional relationships with key education partners to grow Kaltura’s education community and increase the size of our funnel.

Requirements and Preferences

• Bachelor's degree- required.
• Minimum +6 years of enterprise software or video sales experience as well as experience in educational technology
sales- required.
• Proven track record uncovering and closing new business; success meeting and exceeding quotas.
• Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Experience proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with C-level and other executive level decision-makers.
• Extremely high energy with stamina to perform consistently at a high level in a demanding environment.
• Contacts within the LMS community in HED- a huge plus.
• Experience in open source software or online media- a plus.
• Knowledge of online video (encoding, management, delivery, etc.)- a plus.
